Things got hot after the snow fell in Saratoga and now a city man is charged with using a show shovel to break the window of a city-owned front-end loader.

A call came in early Sunday morning on Beekman Street and then there was an argument about snow removal between a city worker and Robert McCall, 52, who was shoveling snow into the street, according to Lt. Robert Jillson.

Tempers began to flare and police say McCall used his snow shovel to crack the window of the front-end loader. The official charge is Criminal Mischief (4th Degree) intentionally damaging property, a Class-A Misdemeanor.
