Police are searching for a man who held up a bank in Slingerlands Wednesday morning.  The suspect showed a gun and got away with some cash from the Trustco Bank on New Scotland Road.

Detective Sgt. Adam Hornick says Bethlehem Police are concentrating the search along Font Grove Rd.  Hornick says the man was wearing a red flannel shirt, an orange hard hat, and a yellow traffic vest with orange stripes.

Statement from Bethlehem Police: 

        The Bethlehem Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that took place at the Trusctco Bank in Slingerlands.  At approximately 09:15 AM on August 21, 2013, a white male entered the Trustco Bank at 1569 New Scotland Road, displayed a black handgun and requested money.  The suspect is described as wearing a long sleeve red flannel shirt, greenish colored docker style cargo pants, as well as a yellow and orange reflective safety vest and an orange construction style hard hat.  The subject fled westbound towards Font Grove Road, and may have entered a vehicle that was parked roadside on Font Grove Road.  Anyone who was in the area of the bank or Font Grove Road between 9:00 AM and 9:20 AM, and saw anyone matching this description or a parked vehicle is asked to contact Bethlehem Police Detectives at 518-439-9973.
