The owners of a food truck denied opportunities to do business in downtown Albany and at Saratoga Race Course are taking New York state to court.

Brandon Snooks and Andrea Loguidice filed a lawsuit in federal court in Albany on Tuesday, claiming their truck named the Wandering Dago was unfairly booted from the historic racetrack on the day it opened last month, despite getting previous approval from the New York Racing Association.

NYRA officials said the move was prompted by customer complaints over the truck's name.

Earlier this year, state officials rejected the owners' application to join other lunch vendors doing business outside the state Capitol.

The lawsuit names NYRA and the state Office of General Services. NYRA and OGS officials aren't commenting on the lawsuit.
