Back on November 22, 2013, around 1:36 a.m., Troopers were called to a robbery in Cortlandt – a guy got jumped for his video game system that had just been released.
State Police say the victim had just bought the newly-released Xbox One from Best Buy in The Cortlandt Town Center after it became available at midnight and then drove straight home. After parking in the driveway and while walking to his front door, he was jumped, beat up and his new Xbox was ripped from his hands. He ran into his home and told his father who called 911.
It took six months, but State Police have arrested four people ranging in age from 19-21. They were arrested on May 12 and each charged with Robbery (2nd Degree, Class C Felony):
Albert Tapia, 21, of Cortlandt (top left); Justin Landron, 21, of Croton-On-Hudson (top right); Emilie Vanca, 19, of Peekskill (second left); and Philip Vitiello, 20, of Putnam Valley (second right).
All four were arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of cash bail: Tapia ($25,000), Landron ($25,000), Vanca ($500) and Vitiello ($10,000).
All four are scheduled to reappear in the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court on May 15.
