Amsterdam Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Tuesday night around 9:20 p.m. during a large fight near 60 Division Street. One male was deeply cut in the forearm by a machete. The other was stabbed in his elbow with a knife, police said.

Police found the machete hidden in a bush nearby. Detectives will review video surveillance of the area, if it's available. The male with the severe arm cut was taken to Albany Medical Center and the second male was treated at St. Mary’s Hospital, police said.

Neither one was interviewed by police because of their injuries. Neither injury is considered life threatening.
