If you're among those who live near the oil transport facility at the Port of Albany, odds are you're going to smell it from time to time.

Now, Albany County officials are setting up a special non-emergency 2-1-1 hotline if that smell becomes a little too much.

Crude Oil Safety Committee chairman Peter Iwanowicz says they'll use the data to monitor what's happening.

The county and city of Albany have both named committees or blue ribbon task forces to come up with reports on rail safety and protecting area residents from possible disasters involving rail cars carrying crude oil.
