A partial victory in North Adams, Massachusetts where residents have been rallying to save the Regional Hospital.

A Superior Court judge has issued an injunction that will keep the emergency room open at least for the moment.  But it appears that order may only be temporary, and the rest of the hospital will still close at 10am Friday as originally planned.

The hospital's Board of Directors agreed to close the 129-year-old hospital earlier this week, putting 530 people out of work.

Other agencies have stepped in to continue some services, but the hospital is no longer accepting admissions, and anyone needing emergency care would have to go to either Pittsfield or Bennington, Vermont if or when the ER officially closes.
