A Coeymans man is facing five felony counts including reckless endangerment and attempted assault for shooting a long gun in front of four kids who are all under the age of seven, police said.
It happened around 9 a.m. Thursday at 1734 Route 9W, Coeymans police said in a release. A caller told them the gun went off and officers got there to find and arrest Derrick Snyder, 29, in what’s being called a domestic incident. No one was injured.
Snyder is charged with felony Reckless Endangerment, felony Attempted Assault, misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Weapon and four misdemeanor counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Snyder was arraigned in the Town of Coeymans Justice Court and sent to the Albany County jail without bail.
