New York State is running out of time to remove those, 'I Love New York' tourism signs from the Thruway.
If they are not taken down by the end of the month, September 30th, the state will not be getting the money back from a $14 million fine the government handed down, in response to the signs.
The Federal Highway Administration says the signs could potentially distract drivers.
State officials are in disagreement.
Reportedly, negotiations between the state and the Feds are stuck on little details, concerning the signs.
These details include font size of each sign's lettering, and how many of the signs will be allowed to stay up.
