Troy police have arrested a 20-year-old woman on charges that she killed her infant son earlier this year.
Police say Kiona Jackson is responsible for the death of her 21-month-old son, Jacquez.
Officers were called to the 500 block of 7th Avenue on June 14th, for a report of a child in cardiac arrest.
The little boy was taken to Samaritan Hospital, where he later died.
An autopsy showed the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the abdomen.
After a nearly 4-month investigation, police have now charged the child's mother with his murder.
Kiona Jackson was arraigned in Troy City court, and is currently behind bars at the Rensselaer County jail.
