"This is the 47th annual Festival of Nations, which has become a tradition for the Capital District, people just come, looking forward to it, and enjoy for the whole day; it's a family affair."
Ajmera adds that the festival can be a history lesson for children and adults, and keep their culture alive by visiting different booths and trying different foods, all while learning about other cultures in the world.
"It's like a small United Nations for the whole day."
Later in the day, the crowning of Miss Festival of Nations will take place.
