Amazon may be reconsidering their second headquarters project in New York City. Local opposition to the Long Island City project has been vocal, with some residents and several elected officials vehemently against it.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post, which quotes two people familiar with the tech-giant's thinking in saying they're exploring alternatives. Opponents of the HQ2 project have criticized Amazon's business practices, expressed concerns with overcrowding, and cried foul at the tax-breaks offered to the company as per the deal.
