Shaker High's Madison VanDenburg has made it to the finals of ABC's "American Idol,", and will perform on the show's 3-hour finale next Sunday. The 17-year-old Cohoes native will be back in town to film her "Hometown Heroes" segment on Tuesday, with the town and school district planning events to welcome her back, including a pep rally at Shaker and a parade to The Crossings, where she will perform a free concert for the community.
