A kitten was found in Athens, NY on Thursday. She was alone with her legs stuck together. She was covered in tar and could only cry. Thankfully a man found her and brought her to Animalkind in Hudson, who was able to clean most of the tar off of her using dish soap, mineral oil and a toothbrush.
Animalkind doesn't suspect animal abuse, but think she was instead left behind as the runt of the litter. However, because of her young age and the stress that she has had, she has a 50/50 chance of survival.
She has since been named Lucky and has found a foster home, complete with a dog companion.
