The 51st annual butter sculpture at the New York State Fair was dismantled this week. But don't fret, all 800 pounds of it will be recycled and turned into renewable energy. "Milk. Love What's Real" featured a grandfather and child dunking cookies into milk on one side and young couple sharing a milkshake on the other. It took sculptors 10 days to create for the New York State fair in Syracuse. The American Dairy Association Northeast says the butter will be sent to Noblehurst Farms in Linwood, NY to be recycled in the farm's methane digester and converted into renewable energy that will power the dairy farm and produce liquid fertilizer for crops.
