QUIZ: Today is Citizenship Day. Could you pass the Citizenship Test?

September 17th is Citizenship Day and is also known as Constitution Day. It marks the anniversary of the ratification of the U.S. Constitution on this date in 1787. It also recognizes all who, by coming of age or by naturalization, have become citizens.

In order to become a United States citizen, a person must first legally migrate to the U.S. and live here for five years. Immigrants must be 18 years of age, have demonstrated good moral character, be willing to take an oath of loyalty to the United States and pass a citizenship test.

Take a practice test from United States Citizenship and Immigration Services here. In a real naturalization interview, there is no multiple choice and you must answer 6 of 10 questions correctly to pass. Let us know how you did!
