Schoharie Limo Crash Memorial Unveiled

This weekend marks the 1-year anniversary of one of the greatest tragedies the Capital Region has seen.

On October 6, 2018, 20 people, most on their way to a birthday celebration in Cooperstown, died when a 2001 Ford Excursion limousine failed to stop at the intersection of routes 30 and 30A in Schoharie, crashed through a parking lot where two people were killed, and ended up in a ravine.

A private ceremony is held on Saturday morning to unveil the Reflections Memorial at the crash site. The memorial, right next to the Apple Barrel Country Store, will be open to the public starting on Sunday.
