The Governor's 26th proposal of his 2020 State of the State address would rebuild a lodge recently destroyed by fire. The Governor wants to allocate $14-million dollars to rebuild the Mid-Station Lodge at Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort. The former lodge burned to the ground on November 30th. Calling it "one of the most successful destinations in the ski industry", Cuomo says rebuilding the Mid-Station lodge will ensure the resort continues to deliver a world class experience as the North Country and New York State continue to set historic tourism records. The Olympic Regional Development Authority could start construction this spring and the initial phase could be ready in time for the next ski season.
