Troy Police are investigating a fatal shooting and a stabbing late Friday night.
Around 10:45 PM, police responded to a call on Swift Street between 6th and 7th Avenue for a shooting. Police say a man was shot in the torso and was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. The young man has not been identified.
In a separate incident Police say a 36-year-old Troy resident was stabbed around 10 o'clock on Friday night near 5th Avenue and 109th Street. The victim was treated at the scene and was taken to Albany Med where he is recovering. Police say the suspect fled the scene in a Uhaul truck.
In a statement from Troy Police, they say there have been few leads and Detectives are asking anyone with information relating to either case to call 518-270-4427.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
