Three people were taken to the hospital after an early morning explosion at Innovative Test Solutions in Schenectady on Kings Road near the Rotterdam town line, and by Wednesday afternoon word came that one of the three has succumbed to their injuries.
The Times Union is reporting that fire officials say the explosion happened when a food processor being tested for the manufacturing of Guacamole blew up.
The injured were taken to Ellis Hospital. Schenectady Police have yet to release further information on the situation.
