Police have arrested a man for arson and other charges after a fire at the Amsterdam Elks Lodge early Friday morning.
Police responded to reports of a smell of smoke at the Elks Lodge around 2:00am yesterday.
Police say beer cans and food from the bar were found scattered across the road.
Firefighters determined the fire was set on purpose.
Police say they discovered evidence related to the fire at Jose Rivera's apartment on Forest Ave.
Rivera faces several charges, including arson.
