Capital Region parents and teachers will come together today to rally against the 20 percent cuts in state aid to public schools.
The Alliance for Quality Education says a 20 percent cut in state aid would mean a loss of $25 million in funding for Albany schools and $28 million for Schenectady schools.
A car caravan will leave the State Museum at 11:30 this morning, followed by a press conference an hour later at the State Education Department on Washington Ave.
Then there will be a rally at 4:30 this afternoon at the Governor's Mansion.
This is one of several rallies happening across the state today.
