October Surprise? Snow Forecast for Friday in the Capital Region

It's being blamed on Hurricane Zeta, which slammed into the Gulf Coast on Wednesday.

According to the WGY-AccuWeather forecast, rain will be starting Thursday afternoon with a high of 45. Snow is expected late Thursday night into early Friday morning with a total from a coating to an inch or two, a low of 30.

Clouds break on Friday, the high 40, with sunshine for Saturday, temperature getting up to 53.

The greatest chance of snow will be in the hills and mountains, with a chance of snow on grassy areas as well. However, with high temperatures hitting the 50's by the weekend, what snow we do get shouldn't last long.
