Governor Cuomo is congratulating SUNY Upstate Medical Center for its ranking from the Food and Drug Administration on COVID-19 saliva tests.
The facility ranked number one when it came to saliva tests for detecting the virus in its earliest stages. It was also cited by the FDA as being among the most sensitive tests regardless of type. Cuomo credits the tests for helping SUNY campuses pinpoint cases at the earliest stages of the virus. This past Sunday SUNY Upstate Medical and the Albany International Airport announced a testing partnership for employees of the airport and travelers.
