Albany County is mourning the deaths of five more residents due to coronavirus.
That means since the start of the pandemic, 188 residents have passed away after contracting COVID-19. There were also 222 additional infections reported Thursday with 170 of them not having a clear source of transmission. Hospitalizations are also on the rise and now sit at 100. Officials say all of these numbers will likely get worse if people go ahead with plans to gather for the holidays.
