More information coming from the office of Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan when it comes to the traditional Capital Holiday Lights in the Park Program.
Several days ago, Sheehan was calling for a change saying that there was just too much traffic in the Washington Park area of Albany, when people in cars come to view the colorful holiday displays. There have been suggestions that the State Office campus might be an alternative location. Sheehan's office has released a statement saying that at this point, she has not recommended the State Campus as a viable location, noting the location contains critical state infrastructure that is likely not compatible with a holiday light show.
