Some local veterans have begun receiving COVID vaccinations.
The Stratton VA has begun administering the Moderna vaccine to both health care personnel and resident veterans at the Community Living Center. According to a press release from the VA., as vaccines become available for more groups of veterans, VA care teams will reach out to those who are eligible to schedule vaccinations with a goal of being able to offer them to all veterans and employees who want to be vaccinated. Even after receiving the vaccination, employees and veterans must continue wearing face coverings, practicing social distancing and washing hands often.
