NY Leads Nation in Number of People Moving Out Over Last Year

The U.S. Census Bureau reports New York led the nation in the number of people moving out over the last year.

Thanks in part to the coronavirus pandemic, almost 127,000 people left New York during 2020. Stats show New York also had the largest population drop. Official 2020 Census results determine how many house seats a state gets, and experts say New York is on track to lose at least one spot.
