Gov. Cuomo, Elected Officials Won't be Getting Pay Increases

Governor Cuomo and other statewide elected officials won't be getting their planned pay increases.

The governor signed an executive order Monday putting them on hold. As a result, the governor will forgo a $25,000 bump in pay while people like Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul and Comptroller Tom DiNapoli won't receive a $10,000 raise. The governor says while this delay is the right thing to do, it's not a reflection of the hard work those affected by the decision have been doing for New Yorkers.
