Named Acting President of SUNY Poly in Albany, Tod Laursen, provost of the SUNY System.
Laursen will become the third interim President of SUNY Poly since the School's founder Alain Kaloyeros, was arrested and found guilty on federal bid rigging charges. Laursen was approved by the SUNY Board of Trustees and he will make $375,000, and get a housing allowance and the use of a car. SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras is calling Laursen " an Engineer's Engineer".
