A grant program will be starting for small businesses in Albany County.
$500,000 has been approved for the program which will offer grants of up to $5,000 for qualifying businesses. Eligible applicants must have no more than 50 employees, and cannot be a chain. Businesses will also have to show that their revenue has dropped by at least 25% due to the pandemic. Eligible expenses include things like rent, perishable goods, retrofitting for COVID safety, and personal protective equipment. Businesses interested in receiving the grants must act quick, applications begin Monday, January 4th and go until close of business on Tuesday, January 19th.
