Another big increase in the number of positive cases of COVID in Albany County.
County Executive Dan McCoy says there's been 257 new positive cases since Monday, with a slight increase in the five-day average for new daily positives to 257.6, from 257.4. There were 10 new hospitalizations overnight, for a total of 161 residents currently hospitalized from COVID, 23 patients are in ICU, down from 24 Monday. There was one COVID-related death, a man in his 90’s. The death toll for the county is 230 since the outbreak began.
