State Police have put increased security measures in place around the State Capitol building in Albany.
The move comes after Wednesday's violence at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC where protesters were trying to stop Congress from certifying President-elect Joe Biden's win over President Trump. Concrete barriers have now been installed on State Street to keep vehicle traffic away from the State Capitol building. The restrictions will remain in place until further notice.
