Albany County and Saint Peter's Health Partners are teaming up to create an overflow space for COVID-19 patients.
The number of people hospitalized due to coronavirus has been rising across the area lately with medical facilities at 80 percent capacity. If necessary, patients would be sent to the Shaker Place nursing home if area hospitals don't have enough space to treat them. However, infected individuals would be kept away from people already staying at the nursing home.
