No violent incidents were reported around the State Capitol as President Biden took his oath of office.
In fact, there were only a few people outside of the building yesterday to show their support for former President Donald Trump. Officials had increased security in the area as a precaution due to concerns large groups of protesters would gather and cause trouble. Albany City Hall was also closed for the day and people were told to avoid the area.
