Bethlehem police are urging residents to remain alert about a fundraising scam.
One resident recently received a call from someone claiming to be from the department and asking for money. The scammer then hung up after getting that person's credit card number. Police say they don't fundraise like this and that no one should share personal information over the phone. Anyone who has been contacted by the scammer is asked to call police.
