After increasing for weeks, the number of new coronavirus cases is finally starting to fall in Albany County.
There were only 150 additional infections reported Tuesday, and the average number of cases has fallen from 225 to 199 the last five days. Unfortunately, the death toll has gone up by three and now sits at 299 since the pandemic started. There are also 169 people hospitalized for treatment of the virus with 16 of them in intensive care.
