We're now eight weeks into the COVID-19 vaccination program here in the Capital Region and while the rollout has not been without its bumps and frustrations, each day things are getting a little smoother. In this episode of Upstate Issues, Dr. Dennis McKenna, the President and CEO of Albany Medical Center gives an update on vaccination efforts in the Capital Region. Albany Med has been selected to be the "Hub Planning Lead" by NYS Department of Health has already overseen over 110,000 first and second doses to individuals in the eight county Capital Region area. Dr. McKenna talks about the safety of the vaccines and gives a glimpse into how life has changed at Albany Med now that 90% of staff has been vaccinated.
