A sergeant with the Albany County Sheriff's Department is being treated for serious injuries following a crash in Colonie.
Officials say Deputy Joseph Iachetta was driving on Central Avenue Monday when his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer at the entrance of Colonie Plaza. The collision caused Iachetta to get trapped under the truck until first responders could remove him. The tractor-trailer driver wasn't hurt and the accident remains under investigation.
