After months of planning, construction on the Albany Skyway is about to get underway.
Governor Cuomo announced Tuesday that work on the 13 million dollar project will start this month. The plan is to turn the area near an underutilized exit ramp on 787 into an elevated multi-use park connecting downtown neighborhoods to the area around the Hudson River waterfront. Work on the Skyway is expected to be complete by the end of this year.
