Part of a Northway bridge that was recently damaged by a boom lift is going to have to be removed this weekend.
The State Department of Transportation says crews will start taking down part of the Sitterly Road overpass Saturday night. Work is expected to last until noon Sunday, meaning southbound lanes between Exit 9 and Exit 8A are going to be closed. Southbound Exit 9 on-ramps in Clifton Park will also be shut down. There will be detours posted to help drivers reach their destination.
