The investigation continues into what triggered a massive house explosion in Berne that left two people dead.
Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple says the Friday night blast reduced the Hilltop Lane residence to rubble, killing both 83-year-old Victor Porlier and his wife, 72-year-old Lois Porlier. Several residents in the small community said their own homes shook due because the explosion was so intense. There were no other injuries reported.
