A Whitehall lawyer has announced his bid to challenge Congresswoman Elise Stefanik in 2022.
Democrat Matt Putorti claims the Republican Stefanik is ripping communities in the 21st District apart by pushing divisiveness. Putorti is facing competition for the Democratic nomination from Ezra Watson who launched his campaign in March. A statement from Stefanik's office called Putorti a quote "Far-Left Socialist Democrat" and said the congresswoman will make sure North Country voters know who will represent them best on Capitol Hill.
