Drivers who travel in the area of the Exit 23 toll booths during the evening and overnight hours should be prepared for their trip to take a bit longer.
That's because crews will be out between the hours of six p-m and five a-m for the rest of the week removing toll barriers from that area of the New York State Thruway. Toll booths aren't needed anymore since the state switched to cashless payments last year. The Exit 23 toll plaza is the final one being taken down in the Albany region.
