SUNY Planning to Eliminate Most Student Debt Incurred During Pandemic

The State University of New York says plans are in the works to eliminate most of the debt students incurred during the COVID-19 crisis.

Officials say the program would provide millions of dollars in grant relief to students who struggled to pay their tuition and other fees. This week, Governor Cuomo announced a similar initiative for City University of New York schools. SUNY says it has already been providing help to students in the form of refunds and emergency grants.
