Albany Police Seize Two Illegal Handguns, Five arrested

Albany police took two illegal handguns off the street on Friday night. During a traffic stop at the corner of Lark Street and Madison Avenue, police found 22 year old Sharod Hawkins of Schenectady had a loaded 380 caliber handgun in his pocket. They also found a loaded 9 millimeter handgun under the passenger seat. Four other people in the car were also arrested:

·John Kemp, 21, of Schenectady

·Jabbar Bunch, 29, of Albany

·A 16-year-old male from Schenectady

·A 17-year-old female from Schenectady

Albany police have now seized a total of 62 illegal guns so far this year.
