A Massachusetts man is dead after an overnight crash involving a car and box truck on Central Avenue in Colonie.
It happened around 2: 00 am Friday morning at the traffic light at Central Avenue and Jupiter Lane. Colonie Police say Christopher Welter's vehicle ran into the back of a truck stopped at the light. Welter was pinned from the impact of the crash and had to be extricated by Colonie Fire. He died from his injuries at the scene. The truck driver, a Waterford man, was not injured.
