The chair of the New York State Democratic Committee has announced his support for Governor Hochul's bid to be elected to a full four-year term in office.
On Monday, Jay Jacobs endorsed the governor saying he's confident she'd be able to defeat any Republican who challenges her in 2022. Hochul became governor back in August when ex-Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned after being accused of sexual harassment. Hochul could be facing a fight for the Democratic nomination however since New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams is looking into running while New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is also said to be interested in entering the race.
