Governor Kathy Hochul is adding the NAACP to her growing list of endorsements.
Hazel Dukes, President of the New York Chapter, says Hochul has shown "an unparalleled ability to listen and govern with compassion." The two are long-time friends with Hochul referring to Dukes as her "Mom on Earth" at a Harlem event last August in which she announced her choice of State Senator Brian Benjamin as Lieutenant Governor. Early Sienna College and Marist polls show Hochul, who assumed office two months ago after Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned, has double digit leads over potential Democratic primary challengers.
