Albany officials have announced a brand-new plan that they hope helps address the city's pothole problems.
Mayor Kathy Sheehan said Monday that the Department of General Services is trying out new technology called micro-surfacing that extends the life of asphalt and cuts down on repair time. Plans are in the works to micro-surface more streets next year and track the wear-and-tear on them. The city is also using a program called Roadbotics which will make it easier to see what roads may need to be fixed.
